Moen Sustainability Courses Get GBCI Accreditation

Moen Sustainability Courses Get GBCI Accreditation When designing a LEED® Certified property, every detail counts. And with hundreds of products designed to contribute to earning LEED Points, Moen knows just how critical water conservation is to a building’s overall green footprint.

Now two Moen Continuing Education Units (CEUs) not only share more insight into water-efficient plumbing products, but have also earned the accreditation of the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).

Established in 2008, GBCI is a non-profit organization that administers the LEED certification program, performing third-party technical reviews and verification of registered projects to determine if they have met the standards set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Green Building Rating Systems™. GBCI also develops new programs and educational resources related to building more sustainable structures, and the two Moen CEU courses, One-Hour Shower and Sustainability, fit within this mission. LEED professionals earn one credit hour for completing each course where they’ll learn about water-efficient plumbing products that help them earn LEED points on projects. Since the GBCI also administers the ANSI 17024 accredited LEED Professional Credential exams, and oversees the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) for LEED Professionals, it’s programs like these that keep LEED professionals at the forefront of the rapidly evolving green building industry.
